Title: left overs
Post by: thumbs on November 08, 2013, 03:30:41 pm
So, I have a week until my one and only show I'm doing for awhile. I have spent most the morning going through my older stuff. I have a lot of items that have been to several shows and I keep bring them home.. After a while it must be time to clean house-What does everyone else do with all their old art'e de crap ?? I'm tired of hauling it around and storing it--any ideas out there--Richard

Anything suitable for people in nursing homes, recovery centers, children's wards? If something would make someone happy, that's better than the fireplace.

Put a very cheap price on them. "Clearance items". "Priced for immediate sale".

A guy at a craft show a couple weeks ago had one part of a table with items marked - Buy one get one free. And did work for him.

Ditto to what Pat said.  Donate them to someone who will use them.  You can also donate them to fund raisers like silent auction items for your local Volunteer Fire Department, school, church.  I have actually gotten special orders after making these kind of donations.  I just gave quite a few things to our chief of police for his blue santa program.  He seemed pleased.
