Title: Scrollsaw Blade Holder
Post by: Woodchuck on September 26, 2013, 03:27:16 pm
This simple blade holder is made from a piece of oak flooring 19 in long. It has 10 holes (1 1/2") to hold the 1 1/4" metal topped plastic bottles. These bottles are available from Woodcraft and Rockler.
The bottom part is L shape made from 1/2 MDF and painted black. An additional hole was drilled to for the holddown.

The second picture shows how it is situated with my scrollsaw.

Nice idea. My Grandpa had a similar system where he used a 2x4 and put copper tubes in it and put the blades in them. After he passed on and I got in the hobby, I use it and put my FD labels on the tubes. Makes it convenient.
