Title: Blue Hawk painters tape
Post by: Shogun on July 22, 2013, 09:32:12 am
Hi everyone. Just wanted to let you all know the other day I purchased some Blue Hawk painters tape in stead of my usual brand because it was a couple bucks cheaper. I do not recommend it. It does not stick well. Lesson learned.

Tried it myself on wall paper as I was painting trim and it would not even stick to the wall.

Thanks for heads up, I use blue tape to tape down before I glue patterns down.

My thanks also for the warning.  It sounds like that stuff wouldn't even make a good post-it note!  OTOH, it does give me a few ideas for pranks.   ;)

Well, I had (have) to laugh.  Today I was out in the shop and, remembering this thread, I looked at the inside of the roll of blue tape I am using.  It is Blue Hawk.  I can't say I have had any trouble with it sticking.  In fact, I have been a little annoyed with it peeling off a few little slivers of wood when I take it off.  Maybe you got a bad batch or maybe I just got a good one.  I am nearly through the second roll of a stack of five or six that I bought as a unit.  I see no reason to stop using it.
