Title: My Dad's Father's Day Present
Post by: countryscroller on June 11, 2013, 06:29:38 pm
I thought this personalized hammer would be a good idea for a present for him. Luckily I still had the jig that I made mine with in the video, so making this hammer was pretty quick. Thanks in advance for any comments.

I wonder if filling the voids created by the saw with a quick setting black Epoxy would make the hammer handle strong and usable for hammering.   I understand that these are made as decorations, but it would be cool if they were still useable as hammers with the customization.

I may have to give it a try just to see how it might look / work...

That is a good idea. Or even if you just filled them in with like the polymer clay and have it for decoration. Good luck if you give it a try and looking forward to seeing it.

Nice, I remember watching your video on how to cut in the hammer. Looks good, your dad will be proud to own that I am sure. Thanks as always for sharing.
