At least I didn't have to travel halfway round the world to see them. We are just a couple of hours drive from Edinburgh. Apart from them did you enjoy the rest of the Tattoo.

Hey Roy, To me a tattoo is something my son has on his chest and arm. What are you and Marg talking about?

Post by: wombatie on March 21, 2013, 01:29:18 am: Rob I absolutely LOVED IT. Got the DVD for Terry for Christmas but it loses so much from the live performance.

Dan the artists are usually army, navy, and air force bands, plus the Scottish bagpipes are played by LOTS of pipers and they sound magnificent. If you ever get the chance to get to Scotland in August you must go and see the Tattoo it is breathtaking. I am sure you could possibly find bits of it on You-tube. We were so lucky because the Australian armed forces were performing at the Tattoo we saw last year, it was just a coincidence because we had no idea who was going to be performing.
