Made these for my wife for Valentine?s Day. Found the pattern in the recent woodworking magazine and knew that these were the flowers I was going to give her. I usually don?t buy flowers on valentines because they are so much more money. I do buy them all year long for her though. Well when I gave them to her she cried. She thought they were the most beautiful thing ever. The flowers are made of blood wood and the leaves and stems are made of popular. Box is made of birch plywood and all finished with a coat of lacquer. The greenery is from Michaels. This was made to hang on the wall so she can see them every day. Thanks for looking and enjoy

Thanks everyone. She loves all the great coments. she has been running around telling everyone she got the best valentines gift ever.

When you really think about it the store bought flowers and those beautiful ones you made both 'came from the earth'.
However the store bought ones only last a few days and yours will last forever!
Beautiful and very thoughtful gift!

Wow, beautiful flowers. I just made a cheesy little heart with our names on it. I will not be showing this to her.....

Now Pete it's the thought that counts!
Anytime someone takes the time and effort to make something for me, it means so much more then anything they could buy.
-
Pete dont worry. Im sure your wife/girlfriend will love whatever you made her. I have given my wife many (as you say cheesy gifts). And she has kept and displays them all. Not always in public eye but somewhere in the house so she can see them. You can always make her some flowers yourself to. Anytime is a good time for flowers. Or any gift from the heart.
