nice job

That is a great piece of work EIEIO. Did you power your saw with one of his coils?
Marg! He was an inventor and worked with electricity and radio. He is the true inventor of the radio. Did you see the movie The Sorcerers Apprentice?

Very nice job, looks great, and thank you very much for your advices.

Thanks for all the nice words. The new saw is a beauty - a Black and Gold EX-21. Still trying to get it in proper tune. The Tesla portrait is on 1/4" Oak to match an Einstein (from Steve Good) that I cut on my P-C.
Nikola Tesla was a contemporary, employee, and finally competitor to Tom Edison. Born in Serbia, his greatest intuitive leap was the alternating current induction motor (essentially all electric motors in your house before computer controls) and AC transformers (which enable step-up to high voltage for cross-country transmission, then step-down for residential use). As an employee of George Westinghouse, he was a key contributor to the Niagra Falls hydroelectric power plant near Buffalo, NY. He was a giant who died a pauper in New York City.

Thanks EIEIO for the background info on Tesla as I had no idea either as to who he was either. So you got the special edition Black & gold EX21. NICE.
-
Hi Eieio. You wouldn't have been able to do that on an electric scrollsaw if it had not been for that brilliant man. Lovely cutting and thank you for sharing.
Rob Roy.

First....You did a Outstanding job of cutting this Pattern. Second I am very happy to
of read all the replys as now I know who this man is and how he made his mark
in History. I sure like the way the Grain on the pattern came right down where you
can clearly see his noise. Danny :+}

That's a lovely cut and believe it or not I'm waiting for my new ex-21 to be delivered this Monday can't wait to start using it.

Nice job.Tesla came out great....
-
very nice job
-
Isn't he also responsible for those big silver balls in the science museum that make your hair stand up on end? :)
Very nice job. What did you back it with? Either my imagination is working overtime or I really did see something that simulated the texture of his hair.
-
Nicely done, enjoy your ex21
-
It is backed with a piece of black cardstock. I guess the spray adhesive on the cardstock gave it a little glittery look like shiny hair. I hadn't noticed before - thanks for pointing it out.
