Title: Dream Workshop
Post by: countryscroller on January 18, 2013, 09:09:31 am
Another boring day at school, so I came up with the plans for a dream workshop. Not too big, but just right for an average scroller.

that's a great setup you have drawn there, Any change on realization this dream?

dimensions are bigger then my workshop (16,7 x 9.8 feet) and you're right, just about right for an average scroller ;)

WOW 4 Scroll Saws.  I can't use but one at a time.

Nice shop. I'm running just one scroll saw. If I ever upgrade it may be the EX-21. My only suggestion is to relocate the dust collector. It will be more efficient if it is closer to the tools.

Well ya see I will teach students with the DW's and the EX-21 is all mine!  Don't worry about dust collection, I will have hoses ran all throughout the workshop to each tool.

Haha yeah. Right now my Dw is my baby, but when I get an EX down the road, no one touches it!

You keep up with those projects and your sales you will have that shop in no time. It took me 30+ years to start getting mine the way I wanted. :) The only problem right now is I have to share the garage with my wife?s Sorrento.  ::) ::)She has the 2012 KIA I got the 2006 KIA. She wants a new garage I get the old garage. 20 x 20 is big enough for me ;D ;D

Yep, that was the first thing I thought of. I hate being in the middle of something and having to go inside to use the restroom. With this, it is convienent.

If you think you may need more space, build it now.  I built a 20'X20' and found I needed more room...now I have 20'X40' and still trip over things...or course if I put tools away and keep my wife from bringing items in to the shop to "store" I would have plenty of room.
