I recall watching a man try to run away from a military police dog, also a German Shepard.  Puppy Won the race, and the man's name was not Puppy.

They are beautiful.  Had a sheppard once, kept the neighbors real honest!!!!   ;D ;D

Use to have a Shepard like Carma.
Told people I hope you can run Veeeeerrrry fast & can clear a 6' fence because my dog can & is trined to protect our place.
I sure miss him,he past when he was 17
