local girl from Iowa ........ Miss Iowa will be on 20/20 tonight. Her family lives about 5 miles of us. Yes her name is Mariah Cary.
We are all cheering her on. she has Tourette Syndrome
Mariah Cary was crowned Miss Iowa 2012 Saturday, the Miss America Organization announced.
She was the reigning Miss Muscatine at the time of her crowning.
Her pageant talent is tap dancing and her platform is "Tourette Syndrome: The Involuntary Companion Syndrome."
A resident of Burlington, she attends Mt. Mercy University.
Her ambition is to earn a bachelor's degree in public relations and to become a pharmaceutical sales representative.
She will represent Iowa at the Miss America 2013 pageant, scheduled for January in Las Vegas. The pageant will be broadcast live on the ABC television network. :-* :-* :-* :-* :D :D
