Title: "French Toast" Weather Alert in my area!
Post by: GrayBeard on January 12, 2013, 04:53:55 pm: They are predicting freezing rain, sleet, snow flurries and a total accumulation of aprox 0.2"!!!

Just got back from some basic shopping for meds & general 'stuff' BUT every cart in the checkout lines contained Bread, Eggs, Milk and toilet paper!

I truly think the grocery industry has made a deal with the TV stations to really play up the 'horrendous possibilities' just to increase sales!

Meanwhile I have uncovered my gas grill so I can do my rib eyes tomorrow for dinner!

Post by: cdrover(Clyde) on January 12, 2013, 06:26:00 pm: Sounds a whole lot better than 30 in of snow. It is amazing the supermarkets here sold out of bread, eggs and toilet paper. I didn't buy anything to prepare. And yes I do believe the supermarkets and the TV stations are in cahoots.

Post by: yyyyyguy on January 13, 2013, 12:07:46 am: I used to deliver bread for Sunbeam then Sara Lee and I always loved those snow forecasts cuz I'd get to the shelves and they would be empty except for the rye...which is usually my first choice :)

Phoenix, AZ a place to be known as hot as h*%% was below freezing this morning and again tonight. For us temperatures below 60 degrees are cold...but 27 degrees is a bit much.
