I made this Trinket box from Cherry, Walnut and Poplar. I'm off to have a cup of coffee now!
Thanks for Lookin'

Cool idea Tommy! You just opened the door to unlimited possibilities. Instead of steam it could be a spoon. Instead of coffee, it could be a mug of soup with A, B, C floating on top. And why not a goldfish or dolphin poking it's head out of the soup. ;D Keep the ideas flowing.

WOW that is great. Nothing like a hot cup of joe. I would need that to wash down that cup cake ;D
I see the world is bass ackward. In Iowa we turn our food into fuel, You turn wood into food. ::) ::) ::)

Tommy that is great! I really like that. Thanks for some great ideas. Thanks for sharing it with us.

another great one Tommy, real great idea!
goes well with a little cup cake on the side ;)

Great Idea Tommy, a friend of mine makes and sells "full coffee sets" but he does it on the lathe and carving as well. Picture attatched if you want to give it a try... (biscuits and sugar are wood too)

That is simply so cool, top notch Tommy.

Thanks for your kind words. It's from the book by Carole Rothman. She has a lot of neat things in the book.
Keefie, those pieces from your friend are fantastic!!!

This is beautiful work, as are the cupcakes. I've been watching some of Carole's videos...I think I have to have this book.

P.S.
It seems there may be a bit of sanding involved, is there a spinde sander involved?
( I'm trying to justify buying one LOL)

Pete,
Thanks, it was fun to make but challenging. I've only been scrolling for about 3 months so anything is a challenge to me!
Yes, I used the Home Depot Occilating sander on this (and other projects). It really helps when you are sanding the inside of rings. I also used a barrel sander on my drill press. I really need to get one of those inflatable Drum sanders attached to the drill press. That would work even better.
The home Depot drum sander is really well done and a great buy! I'm glad I bought one last month.
Thanks,
Tommy T

Thanks Chel....they are from Dr. Carole Rothmans book. I just try to make them. Next one might be a pineapple upside down cake, if I can find the right wood. LOL
Thanks,
