Title: Sales Tax Permit/Credit Cards
Post by: Toneman on January 10, 2013, 05:28:57 pm
I received my Texas Retail Sales Tax Permit today and immediately started receiving calls from credit card companies wanting me set up an account so I could accept credit cards. I had my phone number removed but could not remove my address, according to the state office. I think I will go to my bank and let them advise me. I would appreciate any ideas and advice from you fellow scrollers.

you will pay from 2% to 4% for each credit card transaction. It will depend who you end up with. Price increase.

Yet again we in the UK are left behind, we have nothing like that over here and "Square" only works in the USA.

I've had my Texas Tax ID for about 6 years now.  I don't take credit cards.  The mail and the calls will slow down after a while.  I only get an occasional call now and then but at first I thought "What have I gotten myself into???"  Make sure you are on the do not call list, that will help alot.
