Hi everyone - just introducing myself as a new scroller from the U K. Just got my first scroll saw but find that it only takes pin end blades. Can anyone advise what the best blades are available in the U K ? My first project is to have a go cutting Baltic beech ply into wooden cogs for a frameless wood gear clock. Any advice will be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help
Woodwiznot :-)

Hi, welcome to the forum, I'm Keith from Cornwall.
You didn't say which saw you have, but there are adaptors to take pinless blades that fit most saws, they are a little fiddley to use, but you can get a much better selection of pinless blades and the holes required for inside cuts can then be much smaller. The best blades I have found are Flying Dutchman FDUR blades. I use mainly #1 and #3 and I get them from Mike at http://www.mikesworkshop.com/ If you have to use the pinned blades then Axminster Power Tools have a supply. Hope this helps.
