Title: DRIVER'S LICENSE
Post by: Billy in Va on December 12, 2012, 08:38:53 am

A man was sitting on the lawn sunning and reading when he was startled by a late model car crashing through a hedge and coming to rest on his lawn.

He helped the elderly driver out and sat him down on a lawn chair. "My goodness" he exclaimed, "you are quite old to be driving!"

"Yes" the old gentleman replied, "In fact, I'm old enough that I don't need a license anymore."

"I've never heard of such a thing!" said the man.

"Me neither," said the old timer, "But the last time I went to my doctor, he examined me, and asked if I had a drivers license. I told him yes and he asked to see it. Then he took a pair of scissors out of a drawer, cut the license into pieces, and threw them in the wastebasket."

"You won't be needing this anymore," he said.

"So I thanked him and left."
Don't you just love seniors!

One of the many things I like about Oregon is you can notify the DMV of some one who you don't think should be driving and they will ask them to come in and take a test.  They don't say why but they do state that if you don't come in they will revoke your licence.  They also don't say who rated you out.  MY Bride did that to her mother because she was afraid for her and her Mother refused to stop driving.  When her Mother got the notice she did what most of them do.  She let then revoke her licence and my Bride drove her where ever she needed to go.
They both felt better that way...
