Has anyone tried using the plunge router attachment on a dremel to drill holes in your project. Just wondering how well this could work.
I saw a product advertised for major $$ that seemed to use the same principle .

I use it all the time, it works excellently, I keep the speed on the dremel to about 1/4 speed as I found faster speeds will overheat the drill bits.

Ditto, but only when the piece is too big to use the dremel drill press attachment (I think its called the workstation). But yes, it works excellent for this purpose. I know there are others that use the same thing.

I recently got one for this purpose and I love it!! It is so easy to use and works great! I love that I don't have to think about the throat depth of my drill press or fight with making square holes with a hand drill.

Use it all the time. Works great.

Been using one for probably 5 years now. It's the only thing I use to drill holes for scrollsaw work.
Be advised that you would need a variable chuck for your Dremel in order to use the different size drill bits.
