Title: Snowflake Ornament
Post by: troy_curtis on November 17, 2012, 09:15:28 pm
For about 24 years I have been making things with paper. I am somewhat an origami enthusiast. I also cut some pretty decorative snowflakes. This year I decided to cut some flakes a bit smaller than normal and make them into ornament patterns. This one is one that was designed by me and cut out with the help of my wife, Sherry. We had a great time making it together.

Looks great.  Have you thought to cut them out on the saw?  Thanks for sharing it with us.

Yes, the one you are looking at is cut out on the saw and painted. This is my first time working on making them as wooden ornaments.

Nice.  Suggestion - put a scale or quarter or dime in the photo to show the size.  Thanks for sharing with us.

Very nice.  Two years ago I cut a large snowflake and then cut out smaller snowman and put everything together to make a windchime.

they are about 6 1/2 to 7 in across. A bit big, but not bad.
