My router has bit the dust. Sometimes it works and right in the middle of something I am working on, it goes off line. So, I need advice on what to purchase? I do not want to spend over $100.00. Any suggestions?

Have you tried to see what is causing it to go off? Bad wire, bad switch, worn brushes? Just a thought

Hey Billy, Look at the category he is posting in. He is talking about a wireless router for his internet connection.

I have always had good luck with Linksys routers and they have them for under $100.00. Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Target all carry them. 8)

Try <newegg.com> and search for routers. Best supplier of computers and equipment I have ever used!!!

Hey Dan, I have a Ryobi 18V wireless router I use on my small projects...but I thought it was referred to as "cordless" not "wireless"? Huh. I guess we learn something everyday. Still haven't figured out how to get the internet on the darned thing! ;) :D ;D
Tony, I've been very happy with my NetGear router. Costs well under $100. Lots of options available to you in that price range.

Hey Vonsarge, thanks for the laugh. My wife was wondering why I just burst out laughing. "I can get Sattelite TV on my screwdriver. Poor reception though."

I have had good luck with the linksys routers from walmart, most are under 100 bucks and nowadays most everybody has a router you can pick up a decent one for about 50 bucks. If you can get the best one you can afford for highest speed and security.
