Walnut top & bottom, oak in the middle. Pattern is loosely based on one in SS W & C "BOXES AND BOWLS" book. About 6" X 4". Finished with 3 coats of Salad Bowl Finish (food safe). It is a small gift for my sister in law, who hosts the Thanksgiving dinner for 16-18 people every year.

That is beautiful. Did you make it by cutting at an angle. If so what angle did you use and how thick was each layer? Nice work thanks for sharing.

Thanks for all the kind comments. It was not cut at an angle although it looks like it was, must be the camera angle. The top & bottom are 1/4" and the middle is 3/4". I have done some angle cutting for inlays, but not on a bowl...yet. I have several planned. Still a newby too.
