Title: Santa
Post by: Keefie on October 26, 2012, 10:57:28 am
I have just finished another self framing Santa, but this time I backed it in red and stained the outer frame green. This one is for a raffle at my next show on Nov 17th & 18th. As usual all opinions and comments welcome.

Billy, it was just a water based stain (Forrest Green)

Merlin, I will sell tickets at ?1 per strip and hopefully make enough to cover the costs. The last santa I made was done in oak and finished in blo/thinners and then 2 coats of lacquer (see pic at http://stevedgood.com/community/index.php?topic=11148.0 ) I made one for the girlfriend, but showed it in a shop first and the bloke ordered 2 at ?38 each which was nice. Assuming I sell enough tickets I will take my costs out then rest is to be donated to the "Cornwall Air Ambulance" so I hope to sell loads of tickets.
