Title: Life can be cruel
Post by: SheGold on October 15, 2012, 04:25:55 am
I've met myself coming and going this weekend. My daughter had a motorcycle accident Saturday, she's ok but banged, broke and hurting. Broke wrist, broke leg, major cut from front to back of calf, and a burn on her back where the bike landed on her. Thank you Jesus for laying your hand on her cut and keeping it from bleeding much. This has been so hard for me being Mom and not being able to stop the pain. If I may ask, Please lift her up in prayer, thoughts or your preference. Her name is Krista and she is a disabled vet to boot. Thank you all for anything you do for her. This is how my life has been going lately and it doesn't look to be slowing anytime soon.. God Bless you all... hugs ... Sheila

Oh, mercy!  Hang in there, Mom.  You must feel totally overwhelmed, but keep your faith nearby.

Prayers for you and Krista that the Lord will bless you both with strength, comfort and healing.

Thank you all. She's a very stubborn and mean patient. My faith is all thats keeping me going. The doctor came and talked to us late yesterday evening. He said from the look of the laceration and the damage done, he things the chain on the motorcycle got her leg. He said it was like a pair of hose that had been rolled down. Right now it is the fact of possibly getting infected due to all the debris and grease that was in, on and around the wound, that we are worried. She did with help go to the bathroom, I haven't had to hold her up in a long time. Guess her stubborness is what will keep circulation going in that leg. Thank you again for your thoughts and prayers. Hugs to all... Sheila

Sheila-  I feel for you.  Truly.  My motorcycle wreck was 4 years ago now.  Shattered right knee cap, 3 bones in left foot, broken nose and thumb.  Then it was followed by a MRSA infection picked up in the hospital and surgery on the knee.  The most painful part was giving up riding, but it was a necessary choice I made for my loved ones.  She will get through it, and so will you.  You are both in my thoughts.

Thank you all. Krista is now home. She's doing well for now. I'll no more when I see how it looks once she showers today. I have pictures of her leg but I'm sure no one wants to see it. She has one big railroad track from from to back, plus she had burns along the laceration. They peeled skin off when they changed bandage. She's managing her crutches but is a bit difficult since her right wrist is in a cast. She told her doctor she'd ride again as soon as she could. I say I'll beat her crazy if she does. LOL. Again thank you all for your prayers and thoughts... Hugs.. Sheila

Hi Sheila very pleased to hear of Krista's improvement. Hope it's not too long till she's back on her feet, (rather than a motorcycle) lol. Prayers and good wishes are still valid. Hang in there Sheila and Krista.
