This is a coaster I made from Maple and the inlay is Walnut. Check out how I made it in Ep. 17 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6JErUIxEPfQ&feature=plcp (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6JErUIxEPfQ&feature=plcp)

Looks fantastic, a real nice job. Thanks for sharing. :)

Thank you Russ.. It was my first experience with wood inlay so I wasn't quite sure how it would turn out. Luckily it worked.

Thats lovely. What did you finish it with?

Thanks for sharing, I was thinking today about making a cross with the name of Jesus inlaid in it. Never done an inlay before and was thinking how to go about it. Your video was helpful to answer some of my concerns. I like how you hid the hole, that was one of the things I wasn't sure how I would handle it. Loved your video. Will have to look for some of your other tips. Thanks again.

Thanks everyone. I just used a Krylon clear acrylic. Three coats with steel wool inbetween to keep the surface smooth. I'm glad my video has helped you guys. Thanks
