A few years back I found a pattern for a raindeer I liked and the book of patterns that it was in contained a couple of these strange but neat animals. Cut from pine about 3 1/2 inches tall glued to a white cedar slice. Finished with shellac.

I used a FD #3 ultra reverse blade to cut that and a bit of patience :)

The book is called 3d Patterns for the Scrollsaw. Publisher is Fox Chapel Publishing. First printing was I believe 2001.
