Title: New Entrance Sign
Post by: Tim2beupinAz on August 11, 2012, 10:25:34 am
Here is my new entrance sign I made and hung up. It is made out of leftover White oak and painted black. It is about 40 inches long and about 6 high. Painted black. It was fun to cut. Thanks for looking and enjoy.

Dan I actually cut most of this with a #7 blade. I cut it in half at a point were I could glue it back together without a problem before I started cutting it. There were a few areas that I did use a spiral blade however.

Yeah, I have done that on projects before. Instead of just gluing back together, I used pocket holes and screws with glue. Makes for a very strong joint!

Very nice!  Also, that "beware of dog" appears to be scrolled as well.  If so, it looks very good too!

I was going to use a pocket hole screw and still may if the glue doesnt hold. Im pretty sure it will but time will tell.
