Title: My favorite bird

last week I went to a bird show, lots of birds, owl's, hawk's, falcon's and of a ........
Bald Eagle.
this is one of my favorite birds! but not a native bird in Holland.
at the end of the show I asked the man if could hold it, he made an exception for me, never did that with this bird before...
and what a great hing that was.

Have you ever visited the "Raptor Resource Project" it's very informative, you can friend it on facebook or just google it. They have a camera posted at an eagles nest, it's only about an hr. drive from where I live, fun to tune in! We just watched 3 birds hatch and are now 4-5 months old.

Marcel, it's obvious from the smile on your face that you were thrilled to get to hold that eagle!  Reminds me of the smile on my daughter's face when she got to hold a baby tiger.

I would have gotten in trouble! I probably would have tried to bring that bird home with me!

That's great! We have a small population of them here in WV. It is always an amazing sight to see one. You just don't get much more majestic and beautiful than an eagle!

I think one of our great pattern makers should make this photo into a pattern for Marcel.
Hardly any one nicer to make one for and he could even put it to use. Not to mention it's a good clear photo.

Any takers?
