Title: Santa
Post by: TripleB on July 21, 2012, 05:01:59 pm
I know it's still a bit early, it is rather weird working on Christmas items when it's 104 degree's in my shop but I'm gonna be prepared this year!
I stack cut 3 of these and already have them allocated as gifts to family members. They are cut out of 1/8" Baltic Birch Ply and I used FDUR 1's and 3's to cut it. The frame is just a store bought frame I had lying around, even though I think it does look good in the frame, I still might go ahead and make one instead, haven't really decided yet.

Merry Christmas! ;)

Bob

Hey Dan, Let me put it this way, I did make the pattern from a picture I found on the internet, so it's not my design but it is my pattern.

Thanks to all of you for the awesome comments, they are greatly appreciated.
As for the pattern, I really wish I could post it for all to grab, but being the original design is not mine, I simply can not pass it out. I hope you understand.

St Nick would be proud...

I was just thinking about doing something very similar.  Time to hunt out some patterns I have quite a number of presents to make this year and as I have moved from the Lathe to the saw it would make a change from Pens and Bowls ;)
