That is so very true, when I last needed to call police they just gave me a crime number for my insurance claim but refused to even come out...

Last time I rang them they kept me on the phone that long that the bunch of kids that had broken into the empty house across the street had left.  You know what I was asked then "Where did they go" then "OK which way did they go"  My reply was "How the hell am I supposed to know that, isn't it your job to find them. If you had gotten here sooner you would have caught them in the house".  They arrived 2 hours latter.  Next time I will ring a pizza delivery guy and he can catch them.

It's like the old slogan; "When seconds count, the police are only minutes away!".  Still, God Bless them for what they do!

True story.....

Last week a neighbor lady locked her keys in the car at the gas station. Her son in law came to get a second set of keys and set the house alarm off. He drove to the gas station to give her the keys and back to the house before the police arrived. Then he had to explain why the alarm company had called them and they weren't sure weather to believe him or not...??????
