The rain kept coming and the flood waters were rising.
The preacher watched the water come up to his porch. A boat
came by and the fellow in it hollered 'Get in preacher, it's gonna
get your house'. The preacher responded 'no thanks friend, the
Lord will rescue me'. In a while the water was up to the roof and
another boat came by and the fellow hollered 'get in preacher or
you're gonna wash away'. The preachers response was the same,
'no thanks friend, the Lord will rescue me'. The preacher was sitting
on the top of the chimney when the helicopter hovered over head
with the same result. 'I am waiting for the Lord, he will rescue me.
The water rose and the preacher was washed away and drowned.
He met the Lord in heaven and he said 'Lord I was kinda disappointed
down there. You let me drown.' The Lord said 'preacher I sent you
two boats and a helicopter. What in the world did you want?'
