Title: Missing Harold "HWPlmbr1"
Post by: Marcellarius on May 01, 2012, 01:33:17 pm
Hey you all,
haven't heard from Harold for quit a while now.
I looked it up and he hasn't been on the forum since November 2011!!
he was doing a job interview and sounded a little down then, in my opinion.
I send him a PM but was wandering if anyone here has still contact with him?
or know if he is doing OK?

I see Harold on FB and LinkedIn every so often. Yes he seems to be a busy guy....

Will try to get a message to him that he is 'missed'...

Does he have one? I have not heard from him too and also checked his blog (http://haroldwoodcrafting.wordpress.com/ ) - but there is also just nothing happening. But yeah, he's posting on FB.

Well hello to all my friends here! :)
Sorry to have been MIA for so long.
I guess I got busy trying to put myself and business all over the web, (FB, LinkedIn and business sites). Walking neighborhoods and putting out door hangers.
I find that self promotion takes time and effort! Especially when I am used to having a company to work for and now doing it all on my own just for me. Sounds kinda selfish...but it is for me to support my family...so I guess that's not selfish.
I say that I am unemployed/self employed. Still applying for jobs.
I have my good days and bad days...some times all in the same day. I feel like a yo-yo...up and down and spinning a lot. There are days I wake up...at least that happened  ;D and I wonder for what? Why? It takes a lot of effort just to get going some times.
But we have survived and continue to through it all. It has been a long road.
I try to be my goofy self as much as possible and keep a positive outlook, but it has been a struggle.
Thanks for your kind words, thoughts and prayers! Much appreciated!!

Harold

Harold, you know we are all wishing you the best of everything. Sometimes life is tough but it is worth it in the end. If struggles make us stronger, some of us could bench press a 1958 Buick.

Harold any time you need a word of cheer to lift your spirits, remember the folks here. If you heard about my little episode, and how all the folks here kept and are still keeping me in their prayers, you will know they are the best folks in the world.
What may have saved my life is an angel made by one of my friends here and sent to me just before Christmas.
This is the poem on the back side.

"I'm just a little Angel
Sent from up above,
To help guide you and protectyou,
And give you lots of love.

On those dayswhen you feel lonely,
Kinda sad and blue,
You'll feel my little Angel wings,
Tenderly enfolding you.

I'm just a little Angel,
Flew down from Heaven above,
Who will always and forever,
Give you my "Bestest" Angel Hugs

May this Angel protect and guide you.
      Signed  &%@*^!

I should have died before I got to the hospital and the miracle was further augmented by the presence of the correct doctors being there and pulling my sorry old carcase through after 7 hours and multiple transfusions. I'm still here to pester and poke fun at whoever is available at the moment, even myself now and then.
So I'm passing the poem / prayer along to you Harold and anyone else who is feeling down. I think she saved me!!!
Gabby / Bill

Thanks again for all your well wishes!

Glad you are up and about Gabby! It is hard to keep a good man down even if he is a bit ornery!  ;D

I actually made it out to the scroll saw this week. I volunteered to cut twigs! Yep that's right twigs, from trees. Our Vacation Bible School at church is coming up next week and they needed twigs of 3/8" thickness and down, cut 3-1/2" long. So I took the whole bundle and cut 1013 of them! I made up a jig and went at it one late afternoon and evening. They were so good I was given more to do! Others were cutting them with snips. There are about 2000 or so done and they need over 3000 they think. I know what I am doing this weekend!  :)

Oh I might as well say what they are for! The kids are going to glue them to cans and make a decorative planter/pot.

Happy Birthday GB! a bit late, but best to you!

Harold, it is so good hearing from you, keep your chin up as things will get better. In our lives a little rain must fall but at times we get a deluge of rain fall.
Keep the faith and leave it all up to God and yes I know at time He does test us but He always makes it right. I will keep you in my prayers and as everyone has stated "We are here for you, my friend."
