Beginnner

Hi, my name is Jerry and I live in Oregon near MT. Hood.
I just purchased a new Excalibur 21 which I won't get until after April 1st (on backorder). I have been following this website for a couple of weeks now and can't wait to get started. So much to learn. I am an old fogy (retired), and have been building up my workshop with woodworking equipment and started building some storage cabinets so I can put my tools away. Woodworking is new to me so it is quite a learning curve but I am loving it.

Hey Jerry, welcome to the forum! I'm Dan from Southern California. Stick around here and pretty soon you will have to change your screen name from beginnerjerry to scrollerjerry. Starting off with an EX21 will sure help with your learning curve too! So come on in and join the fun!

Hi Jerry, I'm Roy from Scotland. A big welcome to the family, come on in and join in the fun. I'm one of the LOONIES Marg and Keefie are referring to. I just let them think I'm looney. I've been in the woodworking trade Professionally for 40 odd years and retired for 3 years. So, I might be of some help before I become senile.LOL. The main thing is, Jerry, enjoy your woodworking.
Rob Roy.

Welcome Jerry! I am Tony, aka,Toneman from Paris, Texas. I too am a new woodworker. I started last March, so, have a year under my belt. You sound like me. I purchased an Ex 21 from Ray @ Seyco and bought me a mitre saw, router/table, table saw, and belt/disc sander and started making dust! I learned everything about scrolling from this website and watching Steve's tutorials. I guarantee you, if you just ask the question, someone will give you an answer, and remember, there are no dumb questions. Looking forward to seeing some of your work, so, please post some pictures. Just be careful, scrolling is addictive!LOL

Hi Jerry & welcome.  I am Bill from Florida.  I do lots of woodworking.  One nice thing about having a scrollsaw is that no piece of wood to big for the shop vac hose is scrap.  Now you can make something out of almost any size piece of wood.  Have fun and don't be shy to speak up!
