Title: dewalt 788 type 2 question
Post by: cowboysfanatic on November 23, 2015, 09:17:45 pm
I would like to buy a dewalt 788 but I've heard some bad things about the ones made overseas have they finally got things better or are they still having problems with the quality.  I would hate to spend the money and it be a bad saw. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

A few months ago, I bought a new foreign made Delta.  Took the new saw apart and greased it according to this video.  THE 788 AND THE DELTA ARE THE SAME INSIDE, BUT THE DELTA IS LESS EXPENSIVE!  Google Parts Schematics for both brands and you notice this.

Just about everything is made over seas these days so not much choice in that area. I have the 788, have had it about a year no complaints it works well.
