As I have said I would like to see it running the tail stock may not line up with the head stock and if it doesn't it is not much good to any one, as far as the power of the motor just use smaller gouges for the turning and keep them sharp

Looks like a nice mini lathe and the price is O/K but I would like to see it running before I would buy.
These small lathes are great if you are only turning small stuff and they dont take up much room

There is a scroller in NZ that does those scenes on old rifle stocks, very impresive [sell for around $250]

Sorry Jimbo but my Bosch runs at 5,000 rpm!
Most run at aprox 3,750 rpm.

~~~GB~~~
I stand corrected GB my angle grinder runs at 14,000RPM which I believe is norm for these tools, I used to use mine as a carver with a 4" Arbatec wheel, the teeth are like chain saw teeth,but I wore full protection face and hands as this is a scary piece of equipment
I would never put an ordinary saw blade on unless it was designed for the tool
They look good. I have made hundreds of pens but cannot sell them now as there is so many free bees around
What sort of finish do you use? I used Hutt wax and also super glue, both give a good finish
