Try the American assosiation of woodturners they have a list of all assiate clubs in the USA I was a member for awhile so I could get thier mag. but it was not for me, I have their book with all the clubs in too many to put on the net, but as I say if you go to thier links you will find one near you.
Cheers

The Coffee Shop / Death of a scroll saw
« on: May 25, 2010, 10:16:28 pm »
Hi Folks
My Ryobi died yesterday YIPEE I suppose it was second hand either that or I worked too hard, the unfortunate thing is that it has made me an adict and I am having withdrawal symptons already, I think I will go back to my lathe and tell it all about it, it may not listen though as it has been neglected for the month or more

General Scroll Saw Talk / Clubs
« on: May 24, 2010, 03:10:11 am »
How many members of this Scrollsaw Workshop belong to wood crafters clubs?
If so how many meeting do you have a month and are they about your woodcrafting hobby?
I belong to a woodcrafters guild in New Zealand and some times wonder if it is worth it, we meet once a month and the speakers we have range from steam engines to traveling the world, not a lot about the craft that interests me.
Lets know what you all think.
I have had more feed back on the few topics I have posted in the last 3 week than in the 7 years I have been a member of my club

General Scroll Saw Talk / Pricing
« on: May 19, 2010, 11:04:31 pm »
How do you price your scroll work for selling, I sell mainly at fairs and market days and have been selling wood turning and general wood craft, the formula for wood turning is five times the cost of the wood $5x 5= $25 that is a rough guied but does not always work.
I don't think one could charge for time as I for one would not sell much, I do this as  hobby but at the end of the day I do not want to lose money
Anyones thoughts would be appreciated

General Scroll Saw Talk / Packaging
« on: May 10, 2010, 02:48:11 am »
Hi Every one
I have made a few jig saw puzzels and was wanting to know how is the best way to package them for selling, I have tried cling wrap but it tends to wrinkle and looks a bit messy
Cheers
