General Scroll Saw Talk / 2 down 1 to go
« on: November 27, 2011, 08:34:41 pm »
Have done 2 of my Christmas fairs and have my last this coming Saturday, hope it's fine as it is out doors, it is one of the better selling ones I do, the last 2 were sales wise great, mainly ornaments, jigsaws and jewelry box's, the latter ones were in doors and only one table but sold really well

General Scroll Saw Talk / Compliment
« on: September 29, 2011, 09:47:18 pm »
What in your opinion  would be the best compliment you have had for your scroll work.
Mine was at the last craft fair our club did and it was the amount of people that asked if my work was laser cut, this was not only a compliment in my opinion but held their attention and often produce a sale

Here are some of the other pics from woodcraft showing the pole lathe that was demonstrating all W/E also the violin maker and the tables with restored tools that one of our members does, he sells heaps of them and I'm not sure what people do with some of the old tools that they buy

Sunday was a busier day people wise but they were not spending up large buying mainly lower $$ items but eh W/E finished reasonably well considering the lack of people I finished over a $K so that was great and 90% of the sales were from the saw, jewelry box's were the big thing on Saturday and clocks on the sunday, ornaments sold well as well on both days, I will put some other pics on another topic

« on: September 17, 2011, 03:46:51 pm »
Sunday today second day of our craft fair, Saturday was scarce on potential buyers but I did reasonably well as I am the only scroller in the club so there was a lot of people around my tables mostly admiring but some buying, over all a good sales day considering the lack of people, I will post photos early next week

I have my first craft fair for the season this W/E and we set up today [Frid.] it is our woodcraft club annual sales and exhibition I have a lot of new stuff this year so that will determine whether I do well for the rest of the season, thinking up new things is always difficult

Brag Forum / Clocks
« on: August 30, 2011, 03:30:13 am »
Some of the desk clocks I have made for my first showing of the coming season near the end of September, I have not made these before and it will be interesting to see how they are received, and of course if they sell, my main sales items that I am relying on for sales this year are jewelry boxs, they went well the last 2 times I have been out
