Title: Steve Good Puzzle Download
Post by: dwssr2 on November 18, 2016, 06:11:56 pm
So I bought the Steve Good puzzle download,  I started making my first 5x7 35 piece,  I cut the 5 long rows,  my question is, how do I cut the short rows without the thing falling apart?  since there is nothing holding the pieces together besides the edge pieces are taped.  I was wondering if I should tape the rows together again before I cut cutting the short rows?   thanks for any help    dan in Pa

Greetings,
If it falls apart, you just have to put the puzzle back together again!
I cut a couple of these puzzles and I did tape the back of the rows with
masking tape. Just the back, no tape on your puzzle. I just cut one row,
taped the back of it back into the original position and contine that process
down each row with one more strip of masking tape and them peel the tape
off when the puzzle is complete.
God Bless! Spiritorse

So I got the pieces all cut and cleaned up.  I lightly sanded the backs to remove the fuzzies and just make it nicer.  My next question is would it be ok to spray the project with polyurethane to protect the bond between the photo and wood, and just protect the whole puzzle,  and make the back and edges nicer?  thanks for any replies,  dan in Pa

Too bad there were a couple of voids in the Baltic ply, causing a couple of small pieces missing on the back.
