Gift Card Holders
« on: August 08, 2011, 11:52:15 am »
I have made about 35 so far. They are to be sold at two different shows this year. Woods used are Walnut, Cherry, Red Oak, Spanish Ceder, Ash and Sapele. All 1/8". I cut in stacks of four sides at a time, and four centers at a time. Used Flying Dutchman UR1 blades. I have not decided on price yet, but thinking in the ballpark of $8.

Your Gift Card Holders turned out great, they should be big sellers. Good luck.

Very nicely done Dan.  Thanks for sharing them with us.  8 - 10 would be a good price range for them.

@ chacci
We should have a like button here ;D

The idea for these card holders is still really brilliant to me - and Dan made them perfect. Another cause to make some of these.

Very nicely done.
I take it the little plastic gift card slides inside this?

Yes. And a ribbon or cord goes in the little hole to hold the card in.

If you look at the pattern, It's a third piece of 1/8" that is cut out and glued in between the two outer pieces. http://www.stevedgood.com/giftcardholder.pdf
