Not sure what you mean by a pegboard finishing station.  Do you mean something to hold pieces up off the bench while a finish is applied?

If that's what you are looking for, there are lots of options.  One possibility would be to glue golf tees into the holes of pegboard. The points of the tees then support the work.  Driving finishing nails through a board would give the same effect.  Lee Valley http://www.leevalley.com/en/wood/page.aspx?p=57821&cat=1,120,43456,43390,57821 (http://www.leevalley.com/en/wood/page.aspx?p=57821&cat=1,120,43456,43390,57821) has painters pyramids that do the same thing.

Hope this helps.

I agree with what Jim said.  I used my pneumatic nail gun  to put 2" nails into a 3/4" plywood board to make  one.  I have six of them now.

I used some scrap 2x4 drove a couple nails all the way through and used those to support my work while I applied some poly on a wooden cupholder console I made for my work truck, worked perfect.
