Hi Folks here is my latest project all drawn and cut with my own fair hands  ;D

And One Happy Granddaughter

The paint  was airbrushed using Kiddies Water Color Acrylic and diluted with Poteen (Poitin, Poteen, Mountain Dew, Mountain Tea, Whatever you would like to call it) No fiber rise less sanding and a Cellulose lacquer Which is Kids safe when fully cured

Got the idea from her backpack and she is such a little lassie.

I drew this pattern myself not traced so if anyone wants the pattern PM me  8)

Hi Folks

Here is another attempt (Got Brownie Points for this one )

Traditional Irish ring given which represents love, loyalty, and friendship (The shamrock is a nice touch to)
Thanks to Travis from Scrollsawvillage.com for this pattern.
Made from Birch Ply 3mm back 6mm for hart, I used Danish Oil on the hart and discovered it takes time to dry on Ply  :(
The back piece was just water colour paint and varnish ,when assembled I used a clear lacquer over the top.

I am looking for tips on finishing and please Constructive criticism is very much appreciated  ;D

If i dont know where i am going wrong how can i learn

Regards Tom

Ask Steve a question. / Totally New Scroller Needs Pointers
« on: January 20, 2015, 02:31:09 pm »
Hi Steve (& Knowledgeable ones) I have just started scrolling and am asking for a few pointers.
I am in the UK and have a Clarke CSS400C 16? Variable Speed Scroll Saw Cheap enough to start with i think
a few little mods to make it work a little better Motor dust baffle Blade clamps and alike.
my question is while cutting my second piece i am getting a lot of wavy cuts ?
I have been using spiral and reverse cut blades to get the feel of each type of cut
the material is 9mm Russian birch plywood. (Loads of offcuts in the scrap bins at work)
Can you tell me where i am starting to go wrong here.

Regards Tom
