I made five 8-1/2" x 11" Pictures and frames for my friends in our breakfast
group of grade school and high school days dating back to 60 years since grade school.
We meet once a month and have a good old time. There are ten of us. When I showed them
my Sitting Bull picture they were really impressed and I mentioned I had John Wayne pattern
all of a sudden they wanted one. -Jerry

Brag Forum / My Latest project
« on: July 10, 2013, 10:46:53 pm »
Here is my latest project of Sitting Bull from Steve's DVD. I used 1/4" BB and #2/0 and 3/0 New Spiral blades for the first time that I got from Mike. I also made my first frame from scratch using red oak stained with Walnut and Salem Maple. I've got to thank Gray Beard for giving information about turning up the speed with those blades. They worked like a charm.

Brag Forum / My First three Projects
« on: June 17, 2013, 08:35:46 pm »
I completed my first three projects and enjoyed every minute of it.
The Teamwork desk plat and the Welcome sign were cut from 1/2" Red Oak and
Tribal Cat was stacked cut from 1/4" Baltic Birch. I used FD- UR blades #3 and #5.
I can see how everyone gets hooked. I had been waiting so long getting my EX-21 that
I jumped right end without much practice but now I am going to work on the exercises.
I also purchased FD- New spiral blades to learn on also. All the studying while I waited for the saw helped alot
but now I need to improve my skills. Here are the Pictures. Hope they come through. -Jerry

The Coffee Shop / Excalibur 21
« on: May 01, 2013, 10:01:46 pm »
What is going on with Excalibur? I put my order in with Woodcraft in the middle of March knowing that it was on back order until
April 1st. (APRIL FOOL) In April after the first the back order went to May 3rd but that has changed now to June 1st. During this time everyone else including Seyco was on back order. I canceled Woodcraft and found that Seyco was advertising EX 21 again so when I put my order in I ended up having to order the anniversary model and the other models were shown on back order. I hope I get my
new saw because I am ready to make sawdust. All is not lost though as it has given me a lot of time researching and buying my blades from Mike plus drill chuck and drill bits. I am Ready!!! I haven't been doing much posting but I have been reading all of your post and enjoying every minute. Thanks for letting me vent and good job everybody with you projects and pattern making. I hope I get to be half as good.

Introduce Yourself. / Beginnner
« on: March 21, 2013, 07:37:24 pm »
Hi, my name is Jerry and I live in Oregon near MT. Hood.
I just purchased a new Excalibur 21 which I won't get until after April 1st (on backorder). I have been following this website for a couple of weeks now and can't wait to get started. So much to learn. I am an old fogy (retired), and have been building up my workshop with woodworking equipment and started building some storage cabinets so I can put my tools away. Woodworking is new to me so it is quite a learning curve but I am loving it.
