My wife gives me wood.

So today is my birthday and since times are tight my wife took it upon herself to go to the store and get me some wood for my b-day.  God bless this woman she puts up with all my sh!% and still gets me wood to keep me in the garage.

My body is 37, but feels like 67 since I treated it like an amusement park for the first 30 years.  My philosiohy is you are only as old as you act, so I am 21.
My wife just went to HD and got me some 1/2" oak boards and some 3/8 pine boards.  She doesnt know that much about wood, but she made sure it had no cupping or warpage and she also checked for splits.

Well it sounds as if she knows more about wood than given credit.  She knew how to check for warps and splits ect...

Hey Graybeard  dated Moses and had an affair with Methuselah but neither one was as good looking as your picture   ;D.  Since my birthday is coming up soon, instead of a cake, the neighbors are gathering all the cracked and warped wood they can find for a huge bon fire which will put out less candle power than the ones on a cake.

My neighbor is a firefighter and he posts a warning on the bulletin board when he realizes my birthday is coming so they don't have to respond to a 'false alarm'!
