Title: Adjusting a DeWalt 788?
Post by: Cajun on October 23, 2014, 01:39:39 pm
Can you tell me how to (1) get the fuse holder open so I can check the fuse>
And (2) how do I get the case open after removing the 6 bolts on the left rear side?
Thanks

Based on the Delta, which is the same as the DW, you also have to remove the panel that goes from the back to the front - under the table.  There are two bolts at the rear of this panel and two at the front end.  Be careful, the panel holds the front and rear sections of the saw together, without them, parts can fall over.

As I recall, the fuse holder cover has a small slot in it for a flat head screwdriver.  Turn the cover, probably counterclockwise, to get at the fuse.

Hope this answers your questions.
