I know everyone probably already knows but I had an "Oh Boy" tonight while cutting a key chain nametag. I realized I couldn't see the blade because it was against the black of the pattern I printed. This caused me not to be able to cut accurately. Next time I will print in another color that still contrasts with the white paper but lets me see the blade.

Hi Jimm. I have heard a lot about not seeing the line. I don't have that problem because I'm colour blind and just look at mark and cut to that. Not all is bad having a disability even though mine is extremely minor.

Sometimes I have this trouble as well, especially with the really fine blades,

I am on my third one of this series, opened the garage door and am getting sunlight in and this has helped. I have a light in the garage and one on the saw but the natural light from outside seems to work better, Thanks for the comments.

Printed my street sign pattern in red with white paper and makes seeing the blade so much better. Gonna use colored patterns from now on and not use black.

Good idea! Thanks for sharing. I set my printer on the lightest print setting and still be able to see it and this also helps.

I had this very situation just yesterday. I cured it by using the magnifying glass on my LED light.
