Title: New member from UK
Post by: PeteL on January 01, 2022, 11:59:11 am
Hi
My name's Pete and I am from Nottingham in the UK. I've decided on trying scroll sawing rather late in life after trying all sorts of crafts.

I have just aquired a Ferm 440 saw, with pinned blades. I have invested (I thought) in a pair of pinless blade holders from Axminster but not having much luck!

When I installed the two blocks in the saw, the blades took on an angle of around 87 degrees from the vertical on the front evevation, and looking down on them, it is apparent that the slots don't line up. Can anyone tell me if these are not compatible or am I doing something wrong? I must admit that I was not able to find out, but people seem to say that these blocks fit all, and the Ferm seems to have all the same fitments as most of the mid/lower range.

Thanks for any help, and I look forward to seeing the posts and work in the forum
