The "Rookie Mistake" ......
« on: June 07, 2010, 04:00:26 pm »
turned out OK. Took it to the picnic today and it was graciously accepted and awarded to the picnic Chairperson for the wonderful job they did putting on the picnic.

Personally I was scared to death they were going to award it to me for 'grilling' hot dogs and hamburgers for 60 people.
Good time had by all and I am hot, sweaty, tired and very satisfied!

I am glad it turned out ok, and that's a lot of people to cook for. I also noticed your new picture below your name, I thought there were two graybeards at first.

Boxmaker...

The largest group I have done the grilling for was a friend's wedding reception. Backyard wedding and reception and we did 175 pork steaks, 50 hamburgers and all the trimmings! The bride to be had a fight with the caterer 6 days before the wedding and My gang had to jump in and bail them out!
Probably one of the most fun parties I have ever been involved with!
It was a 70's 'Flower Child' wedding that in retrospect was really kookie but we had a ball!

Today it was nice, low 80's with cloud cover so it was pleasant and I only lost about 5 pounds sweatin' over the grill.
