I would try slowing down the speed of the saw.

Did you cover the stack with clear packing tape?  I'd keep the speed of the saw up & slow down your feed rate of the work piece.

edited to say  I missed that you are using a #1 blade on this project.  Move up to at least a #3 or #5.

Junk is something you've kept for years and throw away three weeks before you need it.

A # 1 blade is way too small for cutting 3/4".
Use the 2" clear package tape, have good tension, good speed and push very slow into the blade, let the blade do the cutting.

I use a #1 blade pending on what I am cutting have my saw turned up but cut slow letting the blade do the work, have tried a reverse but found cutting thick stock to use the ultra reverse 1 blade helps cutting thicker stock.

Just my 13 cents worth....I feel I have GREAT CONTROL of following the line and using my Favorite FD-UR #1 WHILE cutting a stack of only 2 of the 1/4 BB....Using the #1 blade I am referring to cutting a PORTRAIT where there are SMALL cut out areas.  To me its the ONLY
blade as some Frets are super tiny and needs a SMALL DRILL BIT.  I say if your not cutting a portrait like I described then by far its a BIGGER blade.  UR-#5 IS MY FAVORITE.

I SURE ....LOVE....  TO GET A SUBJECT GOING.  THIS SOUNDS LIKE ONE.  WHAT SAY?

I agree, I would use a #5.

The FD UR#5 is my favorite blade. On 3/4 stock high speed, slow feed pressure. I use circle blades for portraits, I WILL LEARN TO USE THEM!!!!!!!

Hey Greywolf....Circle blades is a First to me.  I guess they are Spirals huh?
We have Many people amongst our Scrolling Family that Swear by the.
Me personally all I can say is I have tried many, many times and to me all
was a FLOP.  Either I had Bad times securing them to the holders or they
just kept breaking.  Just didn't really get the feeling for them.  I will always
stay with my UR-#1's....  Danny  :+}
