General Scroll Saw Talk / Dead Saw
« on: December 19, 2010, 06:46:25 pm »
I think I killed my scroll saw...It is a sad day in Minnesota.
I have my husband looking at it now, he brought it back to life once before. I am hoping that he can do it again.
This will teach me to procrastinate, I still had a couple of Christmas presents to finish.

Brag Forum / Music Clock
« on: December 16, 2010, 06:55:05 pm »
I made this clock for the band teacher at school. I got her name in the secret santa drawing. She has no idea its me, and I have been talking about making something for my secret santa and she was saying she really wished it was her.
The pattern is modified from Steve's. His orginal had the clock on top with a pendulum type clock, I didn't plan quite far enough ahead to get that type. I thought it would look cool with the clock on the inside.
Thanks for looking!

Brag Forum / Inlace Christmas Tree Necklace
« on: December 08, 2010, 10:52:02 pm »
I got some Inlace at the woodworking show last weekend, and was playing around with a bit. I made a couple of Steve's key chains and a few necklaces.
The necklaces were a big hit at school. For the week of Halloween I had a different halloween necklace everyday(pumpkin, ghost, bat, witch's hat & jack-o-lantern). I should have saved the christmas tree for next week, I am not sure if I can get creative enough to have a full 12 days of christmas. I'll try.

Pattern Requests. / Christmas Bookmarks
« on: December 06, 2010, 06:01:12 pm »
I wanted to make some simple bookmarks for my students at school, so I made up these patterns.
It was one of those projects where stack cutting comes in so handy. I have made about 50 so far, many I have dyed with food coloring, some are left plain, all sprayed with poly.

Pattern Requests. / Compound Fish Puzzle
« on: December 06, 2010, 11:49:25 am »
A lady I work with asked if I would be able to replace a key-chain she used to have. It was a puzzle fish, compound cut, with a dowel in its eye to hold it together.
I think I can make it with out a pattern, but thought I would see if there are any around for this kind of thing.
I am at work and my searching capacities are limited.

Brag Forum / Merry Christmas
« on: November 24, 2010, 10:57:30 pm »
This is the pattern from Leldon Maxcy that Steve posted recently.
I used 1/2" maple for "Merry" and 1/4" something for "Christmas"
I am not really sure what the second wood is, but it contrasts nicely with the maple.

Pattern Requests. / Book Related Project
« on: November 05, 2010, 11:02:20 am »
My bookclub decided to do a gift exchange for christmas this year, and decided that the gifts should be book related. I haven't given it much thought yet, but can any of you direct me to any reading related patterns?

Thanks

Pattern Requests. / Christmas Ornaments
« on: October 20, 2010, 10:55:27 pm »
I wanted to make some Christmas Ornaments, and my pattern making skills are limited but I figured I could do some words. I actually used power point and paint to make the patterns, so I hope that the quality isn't to horrible. I hope that someone may find some use in these.
I wanted to make something that would work well with some tree limbs that I saved from a bonfire, so they are sized for that purpose.
Thanks

Pattern Requests. / Kool-Aid Man
« on: September 17, 2010, 11:53:40 am »
I was wondering if any of you have ever seen a Kool-Aid Man pattern. I kind of remember seeing one somewhere online, but now can't find it.
Thanks
