I've done one before, about a year or two ago but, I WILL play by the rules and make another this week. :)
I love contests just to see what other people do and I'm willing to be put to shame just to see the others work. :o

I will attempt to do one. although i will post a picture of it i will not enter it in the contest. im thinking red oak, curly maple, or even paduke or orange sage as the contrasting rings that would look nice i think.

I would like to but I won't get it done in time. I'm still working on other stuff and it has to be done by this Saturday. Oh also, I work full time so........

I will probably do one some time but can't this week.

I would but will be gone from home for a few days for training...then need to work a couple shifts when I get home...wouldn't have it done by the deadline. I think I will do one...just add it to the pile of other patterns to cut.

I'll probably give it a shot after I get caught up with orders but not in time for the contest either.

I will try it some time but not just now as I have my first show for the season this coming W/E and that is frid, sat, sun then next week tidying up and hopefully making more stuff for my next show

I want to try the mug but can't get in done in time for the competition either.

It sounds like an interesting project but I can't and get it finished in time. Have some orders pending and my pulmonologist changed my medication last week and its not working so am rather light headed and short winded. Don't think combining that with saws is the wisest move.

i got (2) sold already if they look anything like the picture when i'm done. Probably won't make the contest but I will try. Will be nice to see what everyone else comes up with. Mike

Like everyone has said, I don't have the time to get it finished by this Saturday but I will make one in the near future. I have lots of other things pending right now. I will post a picture after it is complete.

I am like the rest of you. Do to other obligations and orders pending, one week is not enough time. I think we ought to ask him to change the date to give some of us, who would like to enter, more time. Just a thought. 8)

I also agree Russ, I have a big craft show coming up, and I have been trying to get some stuff made. I am waaayyy behind. It looks like a fun thing to try, but not right now.

i would love to try the mug but being as i havent done any before now, ill have to try it first without being in a contest. good luck to those that will be making em for the contest, cant wait to see the pics of em.

Steve, many members would like to enter including myself but are caught up in doing other projects, would it be possible for you to push back the deadline 2 to 3 weeks so as to allow more of us to participate.
