Title: adding Carpender glue to house paint
Post by: dirts on February 11, 2012, 11:50:27 am
I have been adding a whole container of Ultimate wood glue to my gallon exterior wood paint.  It mixes well and I'm trying to stop bubbling and blistering and increase adhesion.  Ultimate is highly rated.  The porches are the worst but if theres sand the paint will be sandpapered off the wood from the shoe soles with the sand in them.  This year I have thought of painting them and then gluing a rubber scraper mat on each stair and porch surface to door to eliminate wear and cut down on painting.
Ever hear of ceramic beads that you add to paint for heat reflection.  One brand is Insuladd.  I can't find any negatives.  Supposed to increase insulation qualities by 30%.  I'm playing with that now.  Its been in existence for alot of years.
