Pattern Requests. / Seagull Pattern help
« on: March 18, 2013, 06:12:08 am »
Hi all the pattern designers.

I have a request for a Seagull for the side of a house.
If one can be designed, could it be in sections a bit like intarsia so I can then cut it very large.

Three drawings of seagulls can be found by clicking on the link below.

General Scroll Saw Talk / BLO
« on: February 28, 2013, 04:31:04 am »
A wee Q...I made some slates for a bench seat and I oiled them with BLO..
My Q is after the oil has dried for a couple days it looks dull...
If I leave them as is will the oil get transferred to clothing or should I spray the slats with gloss.
And if so will it last in all weathers....

Thanks ***Merlin***

General Scroll Saw Talk / Xmas Ornament Pattern
« on: December 16, 2012, 03:23:02 pm »
Ok guys and Girls, I have been trying to make a name in Corel draw x5 for about 4 days now and am at a loss.
One wee thing is p!ssing me off.
I get everything except the name welded to the inner circle.
I do have the name in hollow (outline only) but every time I try to weld the name to the circle it is sent behind the circle.
Have tried to send to the back/front and all but to no joy.
I mean Steve has no trouble but his text is filled, me I want no fill. (yeh I know I have to be different). ;D

Some insight into this pleaseeeeeee pretty please. :-*

The Coffee Shop / Exercise program 4 over 60's
« on: July 24, 2012, 08:37:47 pm »
This was just emailed to me.....

EXERCISE FOR PEOPLE OVER 60

1. Begin by standing on a comfortable surface, where you have plenty of room at each side.

2. With a 5-lb potato bag in each hand, extend your arms straight out from your sides and hold them there as long as you can. Try to reach a full minute, and then relax.

3. Each day you'll find that you can hold this position for just a bit longer. After a couple of weeks, move up to 10-lb potato bags.

4. Then try 50-lb potato bags and then eventually try to get to where you can lift a 100-lb potato bag in each hand and hold your arms straight for more than a full minute. (I'm at this level.)

5. After you feel confident at that level, put a potato in each bag.

Pattern Requests. / Hunting Scene
« on: February 08, 2012, 02:21:59 am »
Hi all designers, I have a request for a hunting scene of a wild boar.
The request came from the person seeing the 3d plates that I have done in the past.
But this guy is no fisherman.
So if some one can come up with some thing I wood bee very pleased.

Link below is of the the sort of pattern required, and or rectangle scene.
I'm not concerned about the exterior frame I have plenty to chose from.

Thanks ***Merlin***
