Beautiful patterns.  I'm wondering if they would not also make good fireplace screens.  If you painted the backside with fire resistant paint they might be able to use them when they have a fire going.........just a thought.

Introduce Yourself. / Just joined
« on: October 23, 2011, 11:18:55 am »
Hello everybody,  I just join your group this morning. Thanks so much for letting me join.   I am living in Tennessee but was born and raised in Michigan.

I am a multi-medium artist.  Scrollsawing is my newest interest so I am still learning.  I love working with wood and seeing all the wonder creations people make.

I also do stained glass, mosaic, woodburning,GOG, make jewerly, re-purpose other peoples throw aways aka yard art.  I make cement stepping stones and love making windchimes.

I don't do craft shows as I never have enought items done up to make up a profitable booth and I am (truth be told) just too lazy.....lol

I find a lot of my wood on freecycle, along the curb or dumpster diving. You would be amazed what people throw away.  If someone is building a house I have no qualms asking for the scrap pieces of wood.

I love doing swaps for the various holidays.
We just recently completed my workshop after waiting 5 years to get it done.............Sigh!  I still keep the scrollsaw in the garage (sawdust) but everything else is done in the shop.

I am not a pattern maker (wouldn't even know where to begin).
